About Us

Our Mission
Our mission at From One to Another is to create a stable home life for children absent from their families. For some, their stay may be temporary, but for others, we will be their forever home.
Our goal is to provide material essentials and also emotional support. For temporary residents, we will encourage and cultivate family interactions in the hope of creating a stronger bond and healing.
For full-time residents, we endeavor to break generational curses, inspire growth, and instill love. From One to Another desires to allow children a fighting chance with a childhood to look back on full of traditions and memories instead of missed opportunities.

Our Vision
Continues, as we provide homes for these children, our goal is also to build a private school on campus for our children to attend. Along with a curriculum that abides by state regulations, we will teach basic life skills.
Once children reach the age of 18, we will then have transition homes to make entry into adulthood easier.
We will provide housing, but with a few rules: residents will need to be enrolled in college, trade school, or actively working on a career plan as well as working a part time job. Here they will receive guidance on moving out into the world and becoming successful adults.

Mallory Whittemore
Executive Director
Mallory Whittemore is from Bell Buckle, TN, where her grandparents were church planters who served the community. Initially, it was her heritage that sparked her vision to start a non-profit; however, it is her compassion and love for others that have continued this mission.
Mallory is currently a youth leader and strives to advise young adults on how to be successful in all aspects of life. She is wife to Jonathen and mother to Derek.
Being a mother has unfolded a different perspective and a new drive to help others who have not been provided a loving home life. This is our mission: putting God's love into action by bringing hope to those in need. Don't pay it back, pay it forward; from one to another (Matthew 5:16).

Michelle Rockholt
Director of Marketing
Michelle Rockholt is a devoted wife, proud grandmother, and passionate advocate for children. Born and raised in Chattanooga, TN, Michelle has spent much of her life dedicated to supporting youth facing challenging circumstances. Alongside her husband, Rocky, she has traveled across the United States and Canada.
As a graduate of Covenant College with a degree in Organizational Management, Michelle spent five years working at Hamilton County Juvenile Court. It was here that she developed a profound empathy for children in the juvenile detention system, many of whom struggled with difficult circumstances beyond their control. This experience inspired Michelle and Rocky to open their hearts and home as foster parents, providing stability and love to children in need.
In 2014, Michelle and Rocky moved to Kansas City, MO, where Michelle pursued her passion for supporting foster children by volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). Advocating for a family of four children, she gained a deeper understanding of the unique challenges foster youth face and strengthened her resolve to create lasting change. During this time, she and Rocky also served as Youth Directors at their church, mentoring and guiding young people in their personal and spiritual growth.
As a wife of 23 years, mother of two adult daughters, and "Mimi" to three grandchildren, Michelle’s life is firmly rooted in her love for family and her dedication to children’s welfare. Her ultimate vision is to create stable, supportive homes for children aging out of the foster care system, providing them with the tools and guidance they need to transition successfully into adulthood.
Guided by her faith and her belief in the power of compassion, Michelle remains steadfast in her mission to make a lasting impact on the lives of children, ensuring they have the support, love, and opportunities they need to be successful.
